Why Migrate to the Cloud?

In today’s digital-first world, cloud computing is more than just a trend - it’s a necessity for businesses looking to stay competitive. Companies of all sizes are shifting from traditional on-premises infrastructure (such as servers) to cloud-based solutions, gaining efficiency, agility, and cost savings. But what makes cloud migration so essential?

1. Scalability & flexibility

One of the biggest advantages of cloud computing is its ability to scale. Unlike traditional servers, which require costly upgrades and maintenance, cloud services allow businesses to scale resources up or down depending on demand. Whether you’re experiencing rapid growth or seasonal fluctuations, the cloud ensures you only pay for what you need.

2. Cost savings

Maintaining on-premises infrastructure can be expensive. Between hardware, maintenance, energy costs, and IT staff, expenses can quickly add up. Cloud migration eliminates many of these costs, offering a pay-as-you-go model that allows businesses to optimize their spending.

3. Security & reliability

Many organisations worry about security when moving to the cloud, but leading cloud providers (such as Microsoft Azure) offer enterprise-grade security. Features like encrypted data storage, automated backups, and advanced threat detection ensure businesses are protected against cyber threats and data loss.

4. Remote accessibility & collaboration

The shift to hybrid and remote work has made cloud adoption more critical than ever. Cloud solutions allow teams to collaborate seamlessly from anywhere in the world, accessing files, applications, and systems in real time. This improves productivity and supports a more flexible workforce.

5. Innovation & competitive advantage

Migrating to the cloud isn’t just about infrastructure - it’s about future-proofing your business. Cloud platforms provide access to AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and automation tools, helping businesses innovate faster and gain a competitive edge.

Final Thoughts

Cloud migration is more than just a technology upgrade- it’s a business transformation. From cost savings and security to scalability and innovation, moving to the cloud helps businesses operate smarter and more efficiently.

IT and Remote Work: The People Have Spoken!

The IT industry has been at the forefront of remote work adoption, but is full remote the future, or does hybrid work offer the best of both worlds? To find out, we recently ran a poll asking a simple but highly debated question: Should IT be a completely remote job?

The poll results are in - but it didn’t come as a surprise!

The results were clear: 66% of respondents voted YES in favour of fully remote IT work. Interestingly, the remaining 34% supported hybrid work, while in-office work received zero votes. These numbers reflect a growing industry trend - IT professionals overwhelmingly favour the flexibility of remote work, but some still see value in an occasional office presence.

Why IT professionals prefer remote work

So, why does remote work dominate the discussion in IT? Here are some key reasons that might be the biggest factors:

🌍 Global talent access

Remote work removes geographical barriers, allowing companies to hire the best talent regardless of location. IT professionals also enjoy more job opportunities without the need to relocate. Nonetheless, for most companies, working in the same timezone (+/-1 hour) is still very important. This access to global talent also contributed to the prosperity and growth of IT in several Asian regions, such as India!

🏡 Better work-life balance

For many, remote work means skipping long commutes and enjoying a more balanced lifestyle. Flexibility allows IT professionals to structure their day around their most productive hours.

💰 Cost savings

Both companies and employees benefit financially from remote setups. Businesses save on office expenses, while employees reduce commuting and living costs, especially in high-rent cities. However, most companies still have offices or rent co-working offices, to provide the employees with a quiet workplace for more focused work.

The case for hybrid work

While full remote work is the top choice, the 34% who prefer hybrid work recognize its benefits. Hybrid work offers:

✔️ Face-to-face collaboration – Some projects benefit from in-person brainstorming and problem-solving. ✔️ Company culture & team bonding – Regular office meet-ups can help strengthen team relationships. ✔️ Structured work environment – Some employees find they focus better in an office setting for at least part of the week.

What’s next? The future of IT workplaces

With remote work being the preferred choice for most IT professionals, companies need to adapt by offering flexible work models. Hybrid setups may remain a strong alternative, but fully in-office IT jobs seem to be fading.

📢 What do you think? Is full remote the future, or does hybrid offer the best of both worlds? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Why IT Professionals Choose Small Consultancies Over Big Tech

Why IT Professionals Choose Small Consultancies Over Big Tech

Why IT professionals choose small consultancies over big tech

In the IT industry, multinational corporations, such as EPAM, Meta or Tesla, often attract the most attention, offering competitive salaries, global projects, and well-known brand names. However, a growing number of professionals are opting for a different path—joining smaller IT consultancies. At Peruzzi Solutions, we’ve noticed a trend: most of our colleagues come from large multinational companies, but once they join us, they stay for a very long time.

So, what makes a small IT consultancy such an attractive career choice? Let’s explore.

1. Fast-track career growth 🚀

At a small consultancy, you’re not just another employee - you’re a key player. Unlike in large corporations where processes can be slow and hierarchical, smaller firms provide hands-on experience and rapid skill development. You get to work on various aspects of a project, from development to client communication, which accelerates your professional growth.

Instead of waiting years for a promotion, employees at smaller consultancies often take on leadership roles early in their careers. This exposure to different responsibilities allows them to expand their skill set at an accelerated pace.

2. Your Work has real impact 🎯

In multinational companies, projects can be so massive that individual contributions often go unnoticed. At a small consultancy, every project you work on directly impacts the company’s success. You see the results of your efforts firsthand, whether it’s a successful software deployment, a happy client, or a new business opportunity.

This sense of ownership and purpose is one of the key reasons why professionals find their work at consultancies more fulfilling compared to working in a large corporation.

3. A culture that values you 🤝

Company culture is a major factor in job satisfaction, and smaller consultancies often provide a more supportive and flexible environment. At Peruzzi Solutions, for example, we embrace remote work and flexible schedules, ensuring employees can balance their professional and personal lives effectively.

Additionally, working in a smaller team means you’re not just another face in the crowd—you build strong relationships with your colleagues and leadership team. This leads to better communication, more personalized support, and a genuine sense of belonging.

4. Diverse & innovative projects 💡

One of the biggest advantages of working at a small consultancy is the variety of projects. Instead of being confined to a single role or technology, employees work on different projects across industries, from cloud solutions to AI-driven tools.

This diversity keeps work exciting and prevents burnout, as employees constantly learn and adapt to new technologies. It also makes them more versatile and highly valuable in the job market.

The verdict: why small IT consultancies win

While big tech firms offer stability and brand recognition, small consultancies provide faster growth, meaningful impact, flexibility, and a diverse workload. It’s no surprise that IT professionals who leave multinational companies often stay for years in smaller consultancies—they find purpose, career progression, and work-life balance that larger firms sometimes fail to provide.
